Scott
Avidon
"The first time I laid eyes on a weathered corten steel planter, it was love at first sight. I had never seen anything match its complex organic texture and ruggedly elegant tonality."
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and beginning my career in commodities trading it didn't take me long to realize that something was missing. This took me on a journey to leave my job and eventually pursure a Masters in Industrial Design at Pratt Institute. I've never regretted this decision. As an industrial designer I am driven by an obsession with structural discipline. The best outcomes in my chosen field are realized when function drives form development. I bring this passion and enthusiasm to each and every project.
Direct
Partnership
Everything fabricated under the Avidon name is completely custom. I build exact, tailored solutions to fit the meticulous design intent of each specific project.
I strive to build close, working partnerships with all my clients whether they are landscape architects or designers, developers, custom home builders or individual home owners. My initial goal is to discern if I am a good for for their project. If we both determine that I am a good fit we then begin a dialogue to help me fully understand their project goals, challenges and their ideal outcome. I create all designs, renderings and CAD models in-house. I work personally with each client throughout the project and if we will be doing the installation I will be on-site for it.
Bi-Coastal Fabrication
To minimize freight costs, cut lead-times and manage complex engineering and / or installation requirements, Avidon Design operates strategic fabrication hubs on both coasts: the San Francisco Bay Area and South Florida.
Silicon Valley Core
I'm based in the SF Bay Area to service my west coast clients and projects and manage regional landscape integration.
South Florida Hub
Supporting our east coast clients and projects. Directing high-end residential arrays and eastern seaboard logistics.
